Birmingham to Westminster: Eloquent Youth Academy at the House of Parliament
- ELOQUENT DANCE

When Eloquent started in 2014, the mission was simple: glorify God with the gift of dance and creativity. No blueprint. No roadmap. Just obedience to the call.
That mission took us to the Houses of Parliament.

Five of our young students, aged 12 to 16, performed a hip hop gospel piece to MPs, councillors, CEOs and directors. And then they held their own in conversation with every single one of them. Confidently. Gracefully. Eloquently.

Three things stood out from this moment that we just had to share.
1. Don't detour from your original mission. Proverbs tells us that a gift will make room for its owner. When you honour God with what He's given you and stay obedient to the call on your life, He will open doors you wouldn't have even known how to pray for. Eloquent didn't manoeuvre its way into Parliament. Obedience did.
2. Investing in young people is an investment for life. At Eloquent, we are not just building dancers. We are building creatives who are equipped for the future. Our young people took up space in that room with confidence and grace. They are learning how to communicate, how to be visible, how to walk in their calling. Future CEOs. Future directors. Future MPs. Today they rubbed shoulders with all of them.
3. Show up. Be visible. Be present. Visibility counts for everything. Showing up places you in the room for opportunities you would never access otherwise. Be humble about it. Be gracious about it. But show up.
We are incredibly proud of every young person who represented Eloquent this week. You were extraordinary and you deserved every single moment.
Your gift will make room for you. Trust God with it. 🤍
